Buying out of state worried me at first but it went well! The reason I bought from Straub was they had a rare sports truck in stock that I was curious about. We spoke on the phone, arranged a small down payment, then I mailed a check for the rest. The sales part went very smooth and my truck was here a week or so after the check cleared. Titling was a different matter. I had no way to show that the check was drawn from my savings so they added a lien in Straub's finance department. A single call to my bank got that cleared up. No used vehicle is without it's faults. Mine needed some piping to the transmission replaced...but the cost of this added to the purchase price was still in line with what the truck is worth. As mentioned the truck was shipped. It arrived exactly as described save for the transmission leak, which I would not have noticed on a dealer lot (and it was fixable too). The truck was immaculately detailed and painstakingly documented with photos and the CarFax report. I'm not sure what they detailed it with but it seems to resist dust and grime well even six months later. If you find your dream car online and it's here, buy it, you won't regret it!

Service customers beware and ask questions about the necessity to have and pay for additional “recommended” services. I recently took my Tucson in for 15,000 mile maintenance and oil change. I was told that a fuel induction service is also “recommended”at this time. Fearing that if I didn’t agree and pay the additional $178 for the service that it might void my warranty if something were to happen. When I got home, my husband questioned why I needed this service. Upon checking the maintenance schedule, it in fact is not recommended until 30,000 miles. On the online schedule it says it may be done sooner if you are having issues such as hesitation or decreased gas mileage. I was not experiencing any of those problems. So my husband called the service department to ask if there was a reason why they recommended to do the service at 15,000. The employee was rude and said there’s nothing that he could do about it because I agreed to have it done. The employee also said he doesn’t care if we take our business elsewhere. Yes, I agreed to have it done. But I also feel that I was misled into thinking it was necessary to have it done. It should have been explained better. I have attached the maintenance schedule and it does not say anything about the fuel system maintenance at 15,000 miles. Having said all this, I will say this is not my original review. I deleted it after receiving a call from Straub ownership. Apparently, the service manager explained to her that the dealer service manual says 15,000-30,000 miles. Again, that is not what I was told. I truly appreciate the call and the apology.

Had oil and filter changed. Was treated very nice and they stuck to the price. They did exactly what I wanted nothing more nothing less. Nice job. They even washed it. That could have been a little better had soap left on the hood. Left swirls on it. Didn't notice till I got home.

We just happened to stop by Straub Hyundai on 8/23/2025 and walked out of there trading in our 2021 Palisade on a 2026 Palisade! The new body style is beautiful and it was exactly the outside and inside color we were looking for.....It has so much on it I will probably never be able to use!!! Thank you Mike Staskey!!

The service department is WONDERFUL! I recently moved from North Carolina and this is the closest dealership to me. I had a 2:00 appointment for an oil change and by 2:45 my vehicle was ready to be picked up and they had washed it. Even reprogrammed my 2nd key.

I was in the market for a used vehicle in June of this year. After traveling from Marietta Ohio (1hr south of me) to Cambridge Ohio (45 minutes northeast), I decided to look on the Straub lot at the Highlands. I didn't find what I was looking for at first, but the salesman there was more helpful than any other lot I visited. I told him what I was looking for, and approximate price range. He informed me that they had something at a different lot, and if I was willing to go check it out I could test drive it back to their lot. We went to look and it wasn't exactly what I originally wanted, but it seemed to be a little better. After crunching some numbers he not only got it in my price range, but was extremely helpful with getting me in it that day. I ended up buying a 2013 Hyundai Sante Fe. So I took it home, and with a purchase from them you get two free services and tire rotations. I took it today 10-10-24 for it's first service. The service department was friendly, kind and helpful, and even did a couple things that weren't on the service list. I highly recommend them. It feels like they just treat you right. I have felt from the beginning that they go above and beyond for their customers. I will definitely look to them in the future.

I purchased a car in December of 2022 from Straub and began a relationship as a customer with Jen Forget who is the director of insurance at the Straub dealership. I started an auto policy with Progressive through Jen Forget. In August of 2023 I began searching for a house. I spoke at length with Jen Forget on multiple occasions. I explained at length that I was on disability, had limited income and was looking for a house in either Ohio or Pennsylvania. I explained my intentions of trying to foster and then eventually adopt. I explained my budget and my goals. Jen provided multiple quotes for home and auto policies for various properties. In February of 2024 I asked for insurance quotes for a property in Pennsylvania. I was given numbers. Based on those numbers, I worked out a budget and determined I could make an offer on this house. I started the process. About three weeks into the process after I paid for tests, inspections and earnest money ($2348 total according to the receipts), I discovered that the insurance information I was given was completely wrong. I had to figure out the information Jen Forget gave me was wrong on my own through independent research. If I had trusted Jen, I would have closed on a house I couldn't have kept and would have lost to foreclosure. The age and material of the roof was critical and would make getting a policy extremely expensive and so impossible with my budget. It also turned out that my car insurance would go up by $500 per year because of the rates in Pennsylvania vs Ohio. I confronted Jen about it and her response was that the address difference slipped her mind. I'm not sure how something as significant as a $500 a year rate increase based solely on the address just didn't occur to someone who is a director of insurance services. Jen then said that if $40 (which was actually an incorrect amount) a month was going to make or break me, I shouldn't be buying a house. So she makes a mistake that costs me $500 a year with me on limited income and then decides it's her decision whether or not I should really be ok with her mistake. I'm not sure anyone would be ok with a business costing them $500. That doesn't even consider the staggering difference in the cost of the home policy because Director Jen wasn't aware of the importance of telling me the age and material of the roof could drastically affect my insurance rate and possibly make it impossible to even get insurance. I called the dealership to complain and spoke to Manager Dan (apparently of Nissan). Dan was immediately belligerent and at first told me "no one did anything to you" and denied all responsibility. Then Dan admitted a mistake was made and said that I "must be pretty cool to never make mistakes". I've made mistakes but none that cost people thousands of dollars. As a professional I certainly wouldn't have acted like a high school bully and antagonized them. I have screenshots and emails where Jen Forget admits the mistake. I had to let the house go because I couldn't afford the insurance. Thanks to the fine folks at Straub, I'm out $2348. As a first time home buyer I expected to be able to trust someone with the job title of "Director" to do her job properly. That was a mistake. It was also a mistake to trust a "Manager" like Dan to be professional.

We had our vehicle towed to Straub on a Saturday afternoon when our car lost its oil plug, and all of its oil, on the interstate. We spoke with Brandon Murphy in service and he was very understanding of the situation. He managed to get the vehicle looked at and we were able to get on our way in only a few hours. I can not say enough positive things about the people at this dealership and wish we lived closer so we could become regular customers. A big thank you to everyone there!

I am extremely pleased with all the treatment I have received from this dealership. From the awesome sales department that worked great with me to get my 2024 Santa Cruz Night Edition. I recently had my first service on my vehicle. I was taken in early and treated great. And it was so easy to make the appointment online. They even washed my car. The only complaint I had was the water spots on my truck from the wash. But a black vehicle is not easy to clean. But I am just picky of my truck. But I am extremely pleased with everything that they offer.

We had our Hyundai serviced as an unforeseen problem occurred. Straub’s service department acted quickly getting our car in the same day. The service we received was very professional and we were treated very well.

My service at Straub was exceptional !!!! We were in town visiting our ball player at Wheeling University when the check engine light came on and we barely made it to our hotel up the steep hill with our children in the car. We brought it over at 8 am on Saturday morning and Brandon was very professional and very friendly ! He was honest an upfront with what he could do for us. Stressful being 10 hours from home... He made everything happen that he stated he could, kept great communication, and not only had us back on the road on our departure date of Monday afternoon, but home safely with our children !!!! I cannot express the appreciation I have for honesty and amazing customer service ! Thank you Straub... Buy and Service your car from them!!!!!
